Angie Grabau, RN, MS, CPNP
Education/Experience: Angie received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Nursing, specializing in maternal-child care from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing. She completed the University of Minnesota post-masters certificate program for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, specializing in Children with Special Health Care Needs and was Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 1998. Since that time she has practiced as a PNP in a multi-cultural health care clinic in Lincoln, NE and, as of January 1, 2003, has worked at Mendota Health, then Eagan Child and Family Care, on a part-time basis. Angie has practiced in the field of pediatrics for over 25 years, taught in undergraduate and graduate levels in schools of nursing and currently is a student in the PhD program at the University of Minnesota, School of Nursing.
Clinical Interests: Angie loves working with children of all ages but the “heart of her profession” is working with children with special health care needs and their families. In addition, Angie finds teaching of nursing students a rewarding and challenging aspect of her profession.
Personal Interests: Angie has lived in the Twin Cities area for the past 2 years and enjoys meeting new people, making new friends, growing African violets, scrap-booking, photography and enjoying many outdoor activities (and, yes, even the Minnesota winters)!
Angie is very pleased to be a part of a health care clinic where family-centered care is at the heart of the practice, where children and family members are encouraged to be active participants in their health care decisions, and where caring and sharing is an essential part of health care delivery.
