Elizabeth Dorn, RN, MS, CFNP

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner, partner and CFO

Education/Experience: Beth received her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Minnesota in 2007.  She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center. Before becoming a nurse, Beth received her under graduate degree in Chemistry from North Dakota State University and her first Masters degree in Food Science from the University of Minnesota.  She was a process scientist for Novartis Nutrition for 5 years. Although she enjoyed her work with Novartis, she felt she wanted to be more of a caregiver in health care and chose to become a nurse.  Beth earned her an Associate Degree in Nursing at Minneapolis Community College and worked as a staff nurse in the medicine unit of Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis.

Clinical Interests: We welcomed Beth to Eagan Child and Family in August, 2007.  Beth enjoys promoting healthy living and caring for patients who are ill and assist them in the management of chronic conditions. She works to help patients understand their medical conditions, identify lifestyle issues that may be affecting their physical and emotional health, and collaborates with them to develop a plan of care that may be helpful in treating or managing those conditions.  Beth is conversant in Spanish and has worked with the Latino population in a variety of settings.

Personal Interests: Outside of ECFC Beth loves spending time with her husband, two grown daughters and extended family. She loves walking the dog, biking, and spending time at the family cabin “up North”. Beth is an avid knitter and also loves to cook.
