Gretchen Moen, RN, MS, CPNP
Specialty: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Founder, President and CEO, Laboratory Director
Education/Experience: Gretchen received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in therapeutic recreation. After the birth of her last child she changed careers and attended Normandale Community College where she earned her AS in nursing. Gretchen worked as a pediatric oncology nurse and a home care IV nurse clinician for a few years before she returned to college and received her Masters of Science degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota. Gretchen was Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 1995. She has been a full time pediatric nurse practitioner for 14 years, 6 of which have been in private practice.
Clinical Interests: Gretchen enjoys all aspects of pediatric care but has developed special skills and interests in the areas of asthma, pediatric sports injury treatment and prevention, and management of mental health conditions in primary care.
Academic Interests: Ms. Moen is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, where she is a guest lecturer and guides nurse practitioner students through their clinical rotations. As an advocate for primary care and NP practice, Gretchen also helps students from the College of St. Catherine and Metropolitan State University nurse practitioner programs.
Professional Interests:Gretchen has also been involved with the American Lung Association of Minnesota for many years as a nurse and clinical director of Camp Superkids residential camp for children with asthma. She currently serves on the Medical Board for Camp Superkids and as medical advisor for the Rassmussen College medical assistant training program.
Gretchen is a member of the professional staffs of Children's Hospitals and Clinics and Gillette Specialty Hospital. She is a member and legislative co-chairperson for the Minnesota chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Since April, 2008, she has been providing care in the emergency departments for Children's Hospitals and Clinics in both Minneapolis and St. Paul on a part-time basis and keeps her IV skills up to date by occasionally providing patient care for Coram Infusion Services.

Personal Interests: Gretchen and her husband Dennis have lived in the Eagan area for over 20 years and have three sons. They have been involved with scouting, EAA, school and church activities. Recently Dennis has been running marathons and Gretchen "walks" 5ks. She also enjoys reading, crafts and shopping.
