Sofia Ali, MD
Education/Experience: Sofi received her Medical Degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, in 1993. She completed her Family Medicine residency at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center (now Regions Hospital) in St. Paul, MN in 1996. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Sofi has worked in the Twin Cities for over a decade providing quality care for patients of all ages.
Clinical Interests: Sofi believes that good health is a partnership between the patient, provider and often the family. She endeavors to educate patients about their medical conditions, their treatment plan, and about healthy lifestyle changes that are beneficial. Sofi is excited about the potential of working with patients and families at Eagan Child and Family Clinic to promote health and wellness and manage illness.
Sofi is also very interested in cross-cultural medicine. She has worked in a variety of settings serving Latinos, Hmong, Asian and African patients and speaks Spanish. Sofi has an interest in public health and how communities and health care can improve the health of the population through education and appropriate programs. She is currently completing a Masters Degree in Public Health and doing medical consulting for non-profit organizations.
Personal Interests: Sofi has young children. When not at work she loves to spend time playing with her family. Other interests include world travel and cooking.
